On this page you will find archived all documentation of artworks produced for the Mob-Shop programme.

Click through the links below to see documentation of the artworks installed in the libraries, including details about the work, plain text version audio descriptions and transcriptions.

Artworks in this project were exhibited using library spaces across Derbyshire, UK.

There were three focal points for the project which showcased artworks by artists Raisa Kabir at Chesterfield Library, Laura Daisy Cowley at Dronfield Library, and Aminder Virdee at Long Eaton Library.

A poster publication featuring artworks by Abi Palmer and Kiara Mohamed & Dahab Abdullahi accompanied the project and was featured in print across all 45 Derbyshire Libraries. A limited number of copies were also available to take away for anyone visiting the shows at the library. The publication was also available as a downloadable PDF across all libraries in England.

You can find out more about how this project worked with libraries through the CILIP blog, part of National Libraries Week 4th - 8th October 2021.

We commissioned Mary Slattery as Mob-Shop artist in residence, where she carried out a continuation of her research practice exploring community resource sharing of disability practices. You can find details of her work below featuring links to her projects.

You can also enjoy a recording of a workshop run by featured artist Raisa Kabir as part of the Mob-Shop programme. It's a really special loom-building workshop that considers core themes of her weaving practice within the context of this project.

We have detailed photographic documentation, audio and descriptions, and plain text versions of all the artworks which are supported by thoughtful image descriptions embedded into all images displayed on the website. We hope this will give you a really good feel for the artworks produced, and the settings in which they were displayed.
